Banged-up birthday eve

It had been a while since Ella came home with an "accident report" from daycare, so we were about due. Just in time for birthday festivities (& pictures), Ella took a nose dive on the playground today. Her upper lip took the brunt of it, and the tip of her nose is scraped, too!

She is still in good spirits about her birthday. She helped pick out her new trike tonight, which is what she really wanted (so much for me wanting to get her a mini-kitchen). We'll post some pictures - complete with helmet - once she opens it! Tomorrow night will be low-key with Dan in charge of dinner, Friday night is just pizza with Jen & Ben at our place before they head out of town for spring break and Saturday is the "big" party at Gram's with Riss & Mike & Laura & Gram & Lizzie & Dawn and tacos. There will be pictures of it all, so it will almost be like you got to celebrate with us.
