Birthday wishes!

Ella had a great day for her second birthday. It was "stripe day" at daycare, so luckily she had a striped shirt to match under her birthday shirt! She got to open birthday cards in the car to and from daycare (some had stickers!), have a special sign on the door at daycare for her birthday, enjoy one of her favorite meals (chicken tenders, broccoli & strawberries) and have a birthday cupcake (video above). We also got lots of calls around here from well-wishers & a visit from the neighbors. Sorry to anyone we didn't chat with - we will be around all day tomorrow other than a late morning doctor appointment. There will be slightly less craziness tomorrow and we would love to chat!

Also, we are going with a gradual approach to gift opening, so tonight she opened a musical tea set from her godfather Kevin (& Emily & Gus), which she loved. We started by opening the little book about being invited to a tea party, so opening the tea set immediately after it really built the excitement. She also had her little dog Yorkie from JoLynn & family, who was invited to the tea party along with Mom & Dad & Bruno.
